‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’: A Dark Twist To the Story.

Those who have read my posts will know of my rather unhealthy infatuation with the late Wes Craven’s masterpiece ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’. Yet even I hadn’t known about this extended scene that was apparently just picked up by the media. This 2 minute 23 second clip both solves a few questions I had from the start, and gives even more texture to this iconic film. I wonder why it was left out from the original, but it doesn’t make me love it or it’s creator any less.

(The sound quality isn’t the best, but bear with me here.)

I also must add, Heather Langenkamp is a true beauty. She must be in her 50’s now, and she hasn’t lost the youthful pulchritude she had in these movies.

Thanks for sharing this. I’ve always enjoyed Freddy’s nightmare stories. Like you, I don’t understand why they omitted this scene in the original, but I guess that’s why, in a sequel, they showed Freddy’s story and the parents vigilante actions.
